Sa Dec – Cai Be – Ben Tre

Upon arrival, you will board your Mango cruise boat at Sadec after exploring this charming town, where it is the backdrop for the film ‘The Lover’, based on the semi-autobiographical novel by Marguerite Duras.  The story is about a teenage French girl who falls in love with a wealthy Chinese man, Huynh Thuy Le, their romance ended when his father arranged marriage for him with another Chinese girl and Marguerite Duras left Vietnam to go back to France with her broken heart. She became a famous writer and her own true story soon became well known.
Get back to the cruise and head to Cai Be while you enjoying a refreshing welcome cocktail on the deck while meeting your crewmembers and enjoying the scenery and fresh air from the water.  
The cruise will take you to Long Trung village where you will get off the boat and take the small sampan trip through the small and tranquil canals of Tra Tan. Get off at the local Market of Tra Tan and take a bike ride to visit the Long Hoa Buddhist temple. Continue cycling through the village to explore the peaceful and untouched area. Return to your boat and begin cruising to An Hoa canal via My Tho, stop for a visit at the floating fish farm where they raise mainly tilapia fish to supply to the local markets.
Relax and enjoy your cruise then prepare for your cooking demonstration while enjoying your dinner. Overnight on board on Upper River.

Breakfast will be served onboard while you are enjoying the sunrise and you will start to cruise to Phong Nam village.
The cruise will stop first at a brick making shop, where the locals still use centuries-old traditional methods to make the bricks by hand. Then go back to your boat to cross the An Hoa River, where you will take a sampan trip through narrow canals and enjoy the peacefulness of the region. The sampan will take you to visit one of our friends, Mrs Huong, who lives with her 3 children and grandson – they live on fishing, shrimp and fruit orchards. Enjoy fresh fruits and tea before heading to visit a rice noodles factory which produces Hu Tieu noodles, one of most popular breakfast dishes in the region.
Get Back to your boat and cruise to Mango home Pier where you will be dropped off and transfer to your car for the drive back to Saigon or your onwards trip.
