Experience its most typical sights then take a night bus to Bagan, the classic Burma postcard scene where thousands of temples and ruins peeking above the tree and mist, stretching into the horizon.

DAY
1
Yangon – Exploring Key Attractions
Meals:

Upon arrival at Yangon International Airport, visit to Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda, home to a 70-meter long reclining Buddha. A visit to Chauk Htat Gyi provides a great overview of Buddhism with murals depicting the life of Buddha. The feet of the statue are carved with traditional symbols and often many locals gathering to pay homage and pray.

Next, your guided tour goes to Kandawagyi Park, one of central Yangon’s greenest spots. Here you will see the glittering Karaweik barge, a replica of the royal barge, with the vast lake and views of Shwedagon in the background. Depending on the day of your visit Kandawgyi may be busy with local families who come here on the weekend to relax in the fresh air.

From here, continue to Shwedagon Pagoda, the most revered Buddhist temple in Myanmar. Although the origins of the pagoda are unclear, the local legend states that the original structure was built 2500 years ago, then renovated several times until taking its current shape in the 15th century. The 8-sided central stupa is 99 meters tall and gilded with gold leaf and is surrounded by 64 smaller stupas and your guide will show you around the massive complex, explaining why this temple is so revered. Enjoy breathtaking views of the golden stupa from this vantage point. And then transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

2
Yangon – Bagan by Night Bus
Meals:

After breakfast at the hotel, tour to discover the colourful capital of Myanmar with a close look at the local life of this historical city. By car and partly on foot this tour takes you to in the center of the city. Walk around the Mahabandoola Park to see the colonial courthouse and the city the Sule pagoda hall. 

In the afternoon, visit Kaba Aye pagoda dedicated to the peace in the World and the Maha Pasuna cave where the sixth Buddhist synod took place in 1952. Visit nearby a traditional jewelry and gemstones workshop to observe the cut and polishing of Myanmar most precious stones including the famous pigeon-blood rubies.

And then free time and transfer to Mingalardon bus station for your bus to Bagan. Overnight on bus.

3
Arrive Bagan – Touring Ancient Temples
Meals:

Bagan was the capital of several powerful Burmese Kingdoms that constructed up to 4,400 temples between the 11th and 13th centuries. Its oldest temples are reminiscent of other majestic ancient Southeast Asian cities, such as Cambodia’s Angkor Wat. Today, approximately 2,200 of Bagan’s original temples remain standing, mainly contained within the Bagan Archaeological Zone – why Old Bagan is regarded as one of Asia’s richest archaeological areas. Explore Bagan’s lesser-visited temples by alternative means, automatic electric bike. Weave through jungle paths and off-the beaten trails on this modern form of transport, exploring ancient kingdoms hidden for centuries.

Arrive Bagan at early morning and morning sightseeing features the colorful Nyaung Oo Market, the Shwezigon Pagoda and its magnificent golden stupa, Wetkyi-In Gubyaukgyi, a cave temple with exquisite jatakas murals paintings and the elegant Htilominlo Temple noted for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sandstone decorations.

In the afternoon, visit Ananda, an architectural masterpiece of the early-style temple with two original standing Buddha images show facial expression change depending on the distance the statue is viewed from. The Ananda Okkyaung is one of the few surviving brick monasteries from the early Bagan period and the next temple to be visited, Thatbyinnyu, is the highest in Bagan, rising to 61 meters. End the day with a horse and carriage tour among the temples passing by the traditional village of Taungbi, Sulamani Temple and the massive Dhammayangyi Temple noted for its remarkable brickwork. End the day by enjoying sunset at some nice area where available places, one of the ancient temples in Bagan or at view mount area. After sunset, return to hotel. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.

4
Bagan – Yangon by Nights Bus
Meals:

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Myinkaba and observe the process of traditional lacquer ware, one of the best-known Myanmar handicraft and a specialty of Bagan. Visit the monuments of Myinkaba village, Gubyaukkhi, an early period Pyu-style temple of Hindu influence with some of the oldest mural paintings in Bagan, Manuha and Nanpaya temples.

In the afternoon, enjoy an excursion to the countryside village of Minnanthu, the least visited temple area in Bagan. Observe the local farmers’ way of life together with a visit to some of the most interesting temples such as Payathonzu, with its unusual architecture and Tantric Buddhism influence, Lemyethna and Nandamannya temples. And then free time and transfer to Bagan bus station for your bus to Yangon. Overnight on bus.

5
Arrival Yangon – Circle Train
Meals:

Arrive Yangon at early morning and our guide will pick you up bus station and transfer to Yangon Railways station to take a unique ride on the city’s circular train ride through the outskirts of town (45 minutes ride). This slowly traveling train gives you unique opportunity to observe the lively, colorful lifestyle of the local people. Disembark at the Insein market where you can peruse the various stalls and interact with the friendly vendors before transferring back to Yangon. Transfer to hotel and stay at leisure.  Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

6
Yangon – Departure
Meals:

Today free at leisure before transferring to the airport to take a departure flight coming back home town. It is time to say goodbye, we thank you very much for you’re travelling with us and warmly welcome you to come back again.
