Jim Thompson was an American silk entrepreneur and an avid collector of Asian art born in 1906. His keen eyes and flair for design breathed life into everything he touched. After his discharge from military, he decided to settle in Bangkok where he devoted over 30 years to revive Thai silk then a dying cottage industry and introduced it to fashion houses in Milan, London and Paris, gradually building a steady worldwide clientele. Today we will visit his former house set amid the lush garden. You will be enjoyed a various old Thai structures that Jim collected from all parts of Thailand in the 1950s and 1960s.
