The Sunday Muong Hum market takes place in Bat Xat district, about 45km away from Sapa. There are several ethnic groups going to this market like Giay, Dao, H’mong and Ha Nhi. Though not being well-known as the Bac Ha market or the love market, Muong Hum market still remains the original essence of the region. It’s also a meeting place for local lovers. The day trip also includes visit to the village of Ha Nhi, one of the smallest minorities in Vietnam noted for their unique Trinh Tuong house with old-fashioned grass roofs.
