Ho Chi Minh – Half Day City Tour

Meet your private guide at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and then enjoy a half day city tour. Start with a visit to the War Remnants Museum, which features an extensive collection of exhibits including weaponry, photos and documentation on Vietnam’s wars with the French and Americans. Continue to the Reunification Palace, which was formerly the South Vietnam President’s residence and symbol of the Southern Administration’s reign until end of April 1975. Next, call in Saigon Post Office, a fine colonial building which was designed and built in the early 20th Century by the famous French architect Gustave Eiffel. Stop at Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica, a neo-Roman cathedral built over 130 years ago by the colonial French with materials entirely imported from Marseilles. Lunch at local restaurant before transfer back to your hotel for relax, rest of day is free at leisure

Ho Chi Minh - Battle Area In Long Tan (Battlefield Tours)

Breakfast at your hotel then we have a day trip to Battle of Long Tan - 160km per way from Ho Chi Minh City), the driving time is approximately 2hours and 30 munities. The Battle of Long Tan was fought between the Australian Army and Viet Cong forces in a rubber plantation near the village of Long Tan, about twenty seven kilometers north east of Vung Tau, South Vietnam on 18 August 1966. The action occurred when D Company of the 6th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment (6RAR), part of the 1st Australian Task Force (1 ATF), encountered the Viet Cong (VC) 275 Regiment and elements of the D445 Local Forces Battalion. The Company was supported by other Australian units, as well as New Zealand and United States personnel.
